Z is for Zaffre (Blue)

Author's Note

It took me ages to figure out what to write for this one, in fact I only finished it yesterday. Then I went and looked up Zaffre and it's defined as a pigment created by using impure cobalt arseniate and this idea was born.

Impure

They call me Zaffre - it means impure. My eyes are blue instead of brown and my hair has white-blond streaks. There has always been Sidhe blood in my family, but it has never bred to be seen before.

"Hello, boy."

I turn when I hear the voice ready to defend myself as usual, but the man standing there just smiles. His eyes are light blue, almost clear, and his hair is silver. Something in me can sense his power.

"Would you like to come home?" he asks.

I nod before I think about it and take his outstretched hand.
