FB3X Drabblerotic A to Z 2015 - A is for Amethyst - (fiction)

This post contains adult themes.
Fantasy Boys XXX is joining in the The Blogging From A to Z April Challenge with Drabblerotic 2015

where will be posting a drabble* every weekday and Saturday in April brought to you by the letters A-Z, although this isn't Sesame Street, so expect a little adult spice in our alphabet soup. ;) Our theme this year is colour.

Before we continue, though, here's a big thank you to everyone who has spent months organising the A to Z - you are fantastic, wonderful people!

PLUS - if you'd like to add your own drabble, then please do, just put it in the comments, or post on your own blog and link in to the list at the bottom of the post :).

*'So, what is a drabble anyway?' we hear some of you ask. And the answer is, a drabble is a piece of prose of (exactly) 100 words.

So, without further ado, onto today's drabble...

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING WORK OF FICTION MAY CONTAIN ADULT THEMES AND LANGUAGE.

A is for Amethyst

Author's Note

I'm always being told off by my editor for being a bit purple, but this word gave me the chance to get away with it. ;P

Purple!

by Sophie Duncan

Amethyst orbs - David’s editor would have killed him for using that description in his novels, but it was exactly what struck him as he regarded his own eyes in the mirror.

“Something wrong, Lover?” Vix rumbled, head coming to rest on David’s shoulder and hands running over him.

“My eyes,” he mewed, not quite distracted.

“You are Royal Fae and in heat. You are destroying the spell hiding you from humans.”

“And whose spell would that be?”

“Later - now we enjoy destroying the rest of it.”

Vix’s fingers dropped lower - David, moaning wantonly, closed those amethyst orbs.

  1. Vix sure used a great distraction technique. I love Amethyst. The color is so perfect.

    1. The colour swatch in the post doesn't actually do it justice, I love the stone, I have several around my house, because they are so deep and translucent.

  2. I'm all for a little purple in our prose :-)

  4. I do love an author character :D and combined with the touch of paranormal, this is wonderfully erotic.

  5. Great little piece of writing - I was intrigued. Tastefully written I might add.

Great gem stone - Amethyst is my birthstone. Looking forward to seeing what your A to Z post bring.

  7. Amethyst is my birthstone, so I'm partial to it. Did you know that the Greeks believed the stone kept you sober during those all-night parties? Yep. That's why it's called A=not & méthystos=drunken. Pretty cool, huh?

  10. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Amethyst orbs *coughs* Nothing at all. I can see where a Fae would wax purple. His poor editor.

Vix was hiding his treasure from poachers because this has to be David's first time in heat since he doesn't know what's happening. *grins* In heat *clears throat* So there may be little fae wandering around in the future?

  11. LOL 'Amethyst Orbs' are indeed popular in fantasy fics, like that you managed to both use it and mock it :)

    Nice distraction
