Stone - well this is one of my prompts so I really have no excuse for not coming up with a drabble :).


The Dancer

It was forbidden, but Liam was drawn to the circle. Hiding in the trees, he watched as the male Fey appeared and slowly began to dance to a tune no mortal ear could hear.

Liam was captivated as the Fey leapt and twirled, muscles twisting and jumping under pale flesh. This being was the closest to perfection Liam could imagine and his heart mourned when the dancer finally stilled.

What he did not expect was pale eyes to lift and look directly at him. His heart skipped, but then the Fey smiled and Liam knew he would be back tomorrow.

    I love Fae in stories with human lovers, in this case a possible future human lover. You've left it so open to possibilities. Which intregues.

    We know that Liam will be there tomorrow, will the Fae? Was it; an amused smile, a carefully non-sly looking smile, a leading him on smile? Urban fantasy would say one of the last two probably and maybe the first. Romance fantasy says there's another smile available, one of promise.
