'The eyes have it,' might have been a corruption of the real phrase, but Yuri liked it. As soon as he looked into a person's eyes their secrets came straight to him.
He wasn't blatant of course, that would get him hanged. He only used the information to help manipulate his targets.
"Hello," he said, gazing into the bluest blue eyes of a very handsome man.
[Hello, Pretty,] came the silent reply and he could not look away.
Images of blood and sex filled his mind and, for the first time in his life, he knew he was out classed.

And the vampire finds him interesting as a player in that game.
