*'So, what is a drabble anyway?' we hear some of you ask. And the answer is, a drabble is a piece of prose of (exactly) 100 words.

V is for Vampire

Well I had to take this prompt didn't I. Vampires are so completely my thing and I love playing with the fanged ones. I've written this one in the present tense, which is unusual for me, but it seemed to want it so I went with the flow.

Pain and Pleasure

Breath on his neck, the lightest touch of fingers brushing the hair away, the gentle touch of lips against his skin; it is all a precursor to that for which he waits.

He wants the pain, revels in it as fangs slide into his willing flesh and light up his nerves. It never dulls, not even after years of faithful service and his body shakes with ecstasy.

"My beautiful boy," the words whisper in his ear as his master finishes; "what would I do without you?"

He has no reply as his master cradles him and kisses away the wound.
