Not How It's Done

Raz stared at the white eyes in the mirror: the sign of the high priest. He'd been propositioned in a bar by the most gorgeous man and had a night of, well yes, heavenly sex, but this was not supposed to be how a high priest was chosen.

[They are chosen however I please,] his god's voice reverberated in his mind, [but I will take it back if...]

"No!"

It felt right even if he was shocked.

"Then what troubles you?"

"Was last night a one off?"

Bright laughter greeted his question.

[No, My Chosen, as often as you wish.]
