FB3X Drabble Cascade #76 - word of the week is 'use'

Fantasy Boys XXX Drabble Cascade

Welcome to FB3X Drabble Cascade #76 - This week's word of the week is 'use'.

Suitable for all.
The Way A Cascade Works

it's really very simple, be inspired by our word of the week and just write :).

To see this week's entries check out the list at the bottom of this post. We put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up your scrolling.

A drabble is a work of 100 words exactly. Flash fiction is a work of up to 500 words. Both may be submitted to the cascade. So What Can You Write? The simple answer is - anything! Our work here on FB3X will be erotically themed. but feel free to take the inspiration any way you want to, fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, meta, since variety is the spice of life!

To those struck by inspiration (and no you don't have to be a professional writer to join in, anyone can embrace their inner author):
  • Below you will find a chance to join in the cascade in the form of a linked list
    • Write a drabble/flash fiction inspired by the word of the week.
    • Post the fiction to your own blog, social media, or website
    • Then insert a link into the linked list to that drabble/flash fiction for everyone to find (A hint of the genre of your drabble/flash fiction in the title of your post would be appreciated.), e.g. A Little Bit of Fun (PG, Science Fiction)
    • To encourage your friends to join in and hence cascade the fun, you can also add the list into your own post by copying the code.
  • OR you can just write us something in the comments :)
For folks who enjoy reading drabbles/flash fiction: you can then peruse the cascade to your heart's content :).

AND NOW - on to the fiction :)

Beyond Silence (PG13, m/m, Fantasy)
by Sophie Duncan

Author's Note
This one wouldn't let me go, so I had to write a sequel to last week's drabble :)

“Use your mind. Use your body. Use everything that you are,” Lee urged quietly into Erin’s ear, his hold tightening. “And use me.”

Lee buried his face into Erin’s shoulder as his lover’s magic erupted, raw, untamed. His own power and passions pulsed in response and he listened to Erin’s nasal breathing. Skin to skin, magic to magic, Lee revelled in the tumult of uncontrolled sorcery that soaked through his pores.

Erin’s power swirled into his own and Lee groaned amorously. Erin shuddered and leant back. Lee let Erin’s magic take control.

[I love you,] slipped etherally into his mind.

Beyond Half (PG, m/m, Paranormal Fantasy)
by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Author's Note
This was actually quite a hard one to come up with something that could be done in the number of words. I hope you all like it. Thanks for reading.

~

It had started as a game. Zac was half sex demon and Jess had wanted some fun. You weren't supposed to fall in love with demons, not even half-blood ones.

The memory of their trysts never left Jess' mind. He could barely concentrate as his teachers talked about magic. Of course he knew it was part lust brought on by what Zac was, but it was more than that. His mind was also full of Zac's mischievous smile and his lover's clever wit.

He wanted more than to use Zac's body. It was time to be brave and admit it.

The Burning Web by Sophie Duncan

The Burning Web

Sophie Duncan
Is it symptoms left from his brain haemorrhage, or a guilty conscience that is making Tristan McCall see things no-one else can?
Forced out of the police by scandal and illness, Tris is trying to rebuild his life through the renovation of the home he hopes to share with Xander, his husband. A sprawling Gothic pile, Berwick House is in need of attention, but Tris soon realises the attention is not all one way. Faced with a presence in the house only he can sense, Tris must decide if his damaged brain is playing tricks on him, or if Berwick House really holds a dark and dangerous message from beyond the grave.
The Burning Web is an exciting novel length ghost story to send shivers down your spine.

  1. Sophy - Liked the brushing and blending of their inner beings in this. And it's a rightness that one tell the other they love them this way.
Tasha - That's how you catch them, use sex. I have a feeling that Zak is going to be caught in this too.

Two romantic uses I found good.
