FB3X Drabble Cascade #71 - word of the week is 'other'

Fantasy Boys XXX Drabble Cascade

Welcome to FB3X Drabble Cascade #71 - This week's word of the week is 'other'.

Suitable for all.
The Way A Cascade Works

it's really very simple, be inspired by our word of the week and just write :).

To see this week's entries check out the list at the bottom of this post. We put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up your scrolling.

A drabble is a work of 100 words exactly. Flash fiction is a work of up to 500 words. Both may be submitted to the cascade. So What Can You Write? The simple answer is - anything! Our work here on FB3X will be erotically themed. but feel free to take the inspiration any way you want to, fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, meta, since variety is the spice of life!

To those struck by inspiration (and no you don't have to be a professional writer to join in, anyone can embrace their inner author):
  • Below you will find a chance to join in the cascade in the form of a linked list
    • Write a drabble/flash fiction inspired by the word of the week.
    • Post the fiction to your own blog, social media, or website
    • Then insert a link into the linked list to that drabble/flash fiction for everyone to find (A hint of the genre of your drabble/flash fiction in the title of your post would be appreciated.), e.g. A Little Bit of Fun (PG, Science Fiction)
    • To encourage your friends to join in and hence cascade the fun, you can also add the list into your own post by copying the code.
  • OR you can just write us something in the comments :)
For folks who enjoy reading drabbles/flash fiction: you can then peruse the cascade to your heart's content :).

AND NOW - on to the fiction :)

Hemi (PG, m/m, Paranormal Fantasy)
by Sophie Duncan

Author's Note
So I was feeling contemplative and a little sappy this week :).

~

I’ve been here five years now The locals call me, ‘Hemi’, which Nasen taught me means ‘other’.

I am not like them.

My skin is pale and my body hair is fine. I do not remember why. All I know is that when I walked into their village that Winter, freezing, they give me furs to make up for my lack. They have been kind, and I find them beautiful, tall, dark, their fangs and claws masterful and protective.

I don’t know what I am, except male. I am different. I am other.

But Nasen says he loves me anyway.

Two or Three? (PG, m/m/f, Fantasy)
by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Author's Note
Late again, sorry. This one was hard to come up with :)

~

'The other one', Franz heard it all the time. Not many people understood a triad and Greg and Lilly were the officially married couple so he was 'the other one'.

They had met at school as they learned to control their different magical abilities and had simply clicked. It happened that way with magical people sometimes; they all made each other stronger.

Being 'the other one' might have hurt, if he hadn't been able to feel his lovers in his bones and his magic. Only the ignorant called him 'other'; those who looked could see three was stronger than two.

    1. Thanks. Tash is late again this week, something to do with 'making burgers' apparently, so there will be more sometime today :)

  2. And my comment was eaten.

Hemi - The word in English means half and Nasen would be his other half *grins. Both you and Tasha use the word 'other' and make it 'More' in a very good way.

Two or Three? - He has such confidence, assurance. We tend to think pair people culturally as the way things should be but here three definitely makes a whole. It is 'more'
