So the theme this week is 'fall'. There are a lot of different ways to fall and this is my take on the prompt.

The Fall

They call it The Fall. They put a bug in your ear, you feel like you're in free fall and you wake up serene and compliant, ready to kill whomever they point you at. Only I didn't stay compliant long. That rage came back. I was ready to kill them and be killed.

Matt saved me.

They approve of liaisons between officers; it channels excess energy. He claimed me, explained to me I was not alone, there were others, we were called berserkers. He trained me to work inside the system.

One day no one else will have to fall.
